The Sri Lankan Cricket Club was formed in 1990 to provide the Sri Lankans domiciled in Auckland an opportunity to excel in their favorite outdoor game in a typical Sri Lankan environment and also to provide the non Sri Lankans the opportunity to experience the Sri Lankan unique Cricketing culture. Our membership is not confined to any particular ethnic group.
The Sri Lankan Cricket Club has achieved many successes in the Auckland Cricket Association Tournaments. The club has won the Minor Club Championship in nine seasons, team champions in the senior/ junior grades. We have also had our junior players being selected for Auckland representative teams.
Currently the club has 3 senior (Senior A1 and Senior C1) teams playing in the Auckland Cricket Association two day competition, and one team playing in the Sunday T20. We also take part in the Country of Origin T20 competition representing Sri Lanka.
